Hatfield's Simple Brandz is Top '10! Show' Entrepreneur

Sherry Post's company Simple Brandz Inc., maker of Simple Fuel and Simple Granola, garnered the top votes in NBC10's "The 10! Show" Entrepreneur Challenge

As of 2:30 p.m. Monday, the votes were still rolling in in NBC10's "The 10! Show" Entrepreneur Challenge.

Funny thing is voting ended at 8 a.m. Monday - and Simple Brandz Inc. won the top spot with 409 votes.

The contest, according to the show's Facebook page, narrowed the search for the area's top entrepreneur to 20 videos.

Facebook users had to "Like" their favorite, with the top five videos with the most "Likes" being shown during "The 10! Show" at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The entire show is dedicated to entrepreneurs.

"It worked out great. I couldn’t believe the response we got," said Post. "We took first place."

Post submitted a video showcasing her company, which is a member of the PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce. Executive producers of the show picked the top 20 videos, Post said. Videos were posted online and the public voted for their favorite.

"It was the public's choice of who should be featured on the show Tuesday," Post said.

Post was still reeling from the win - and is anticipating the excitement at Tuesday's show.

"My company is growing at a very fast pace right now," Post said. "The influx of inquiries and where to purchase and so forth has just been rolling in. It's very hard to keep up."

"(On Tuesday), my team and I are going to the NBC10 studios and we're going to show our video on the show featuring our product," Post said. "I'm just rollign with this whole thing."

Post doesn't know what else to expect tomorrow, as being not just one of the top five, but also the top vote getter.

"I'm not sure if they will bring us up or talk to us," she said. "My tickets are hanging here on my file cabinet."

The entrepreneur challenge on "The 10! Show" is another way for Post to spread the word of her company and what it represents.

"In the beginning, two years ago, when I started the company, it was about me and what I was eating and the people have decided that my product is great," Post said. "My product represents adventure athletes out there, and those who suffer from illnesses and diabetes and allergies."

Post said Simple Brandz will benefit greatly with the amount of exposure on "The 10! Show."

"I'm hoping that people can see that there is good-for-you products out there," she said.

She called the win "a peoples' win."

"It's definitely my team's win, for the amount of energy and effort they put into it," she said. "This is about the peoples' awareness for my brand."

Post also credited her success thus far to Arnold Kaufman of in Lansdale.

"We featured him in the video," Post said. "He is a key player in the raw food industry, as people transform as they grow in life and consume more raw products in their body. He's a huge advocate and supporter in the company. When Arnold speaks loudly about my product, it's a large stamp of approval to my brand."

When Post called Kaufman to tell him of her win, he was ecstatic, she said.

"The first day I showed Arnold my company and what I was making, there were 15 people in the raw cafe," Post said. "He stopped everyone and introduced me and said, 'She is the founder of Simple Granola. You all should look at her and remember her. In a couple years, you will be looking at a multimillion-dollar woman.' I believes it and he sees it."

Another big believer is Tom Bergey, who Post just brought on as her marketing guy. He posted on the Facebook site promoting Simple Brandz for the contest that he is "watching a major brand come to life before our eyes."

It's not about the money to Post; it's about having fun and inspiring others.

"I just want to pay it forward," she said. "That's what I'm doing. What makes my brand so infectious is being myself and doing what I feel is right. It's not like I'm making millions. I just want to have fun and live and provide a product to the public that is good for you. That's the bottom line."
