Hazmat Incident In Hatfield, Route 309 Shut Down
A hazardous materials incident was reported in Hatfield Township Friday morning.
HATFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — First responders were at the scene of a hazardous materials incident in Hatfield Township Friday, officials said.
The incident occurred at around 10:37 a.m. at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Trewigtown Road.
Route 309 has been shut down in both directions between Line Lexington Road and Trewigtown Road.

The exact nature of the event is not yet clear, though first responders characterized it as a "leak."
Hatfield Fire Company, Colmar Fire Company, and Montgomery Township Fire Department have all joined the Montgomery County Hazmat Response Team on scene, according to the county's active incidents page.
