Helen S. Hettich, 94, of Meadowood, died April 26, 2012. She was born Jan. 16, 1918. She was the beloved wife of the late Ivor F. Hettich. Arrangements are by , Lansdale.

RUTH S. SAUERS
Ruth S. Sauers, 86, of Upper Gwynedd, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Abington Health – Lansdale Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Calvin L. Sauers, who died March 18, 2009.
Born January 5, 1926 in Pensacola, FL, she was a daughter of the late Emily (Yates) Simmer.
Mrs. Sauers was a dedicated homemaker throughout her life. She was employed as a bank teller with Harleysville National Bank and later worked in their customer service department. Her hobbies included playing bingo, completing word puzzles, and keeping up-to-date with the latest technological gadgets. An avid reader, Ruth also enjoyed “real” country music, especially George Jones and Tammy Wynette, and she lovingly crocheted items which will be cherished by her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Bethann White, Diane Reinhardt, and Sharon Hatfield and husband Edward, all of Upper Gwynedd; six grandchildren, Stephen Fretz, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Collegeville, Heather Gershman and husband Brian of Montgomeryville, Megan Tomlinson and husband Andrew of Warrington, Lindsey Hatfield, Brendan Hatfield, and Connor Hatfield, all of Upper Gwynedd; three step-grandchildren, Drew Reinhardt, April Gaylord and husband Bill, and Kimberly Hartman and husband Brian; five great-grandchildren, Brittney, Brooke, and Ryan Fretz, and Brooklyn and Dylan Gershman; four step-great-grandchildren, Dakota, Halle, and Cross Hartman, and Madison Gaylord; two brothers, Gordon Simmer and wife Helen of Florida, and Thomas Simmer and wife Irene of Ohio; and her sister, Marion Carver and husband Harold of Quakertown; and sister-in-law, Dolores Lauro of Hatfield.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Neo Simmer.
A viewing will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale. A second viewing will begin 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sanctuary United Methodist Church, 1346 E. Prospect Ave., North Wales, PA 19454, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to Sanctuary United Methodist Church, address above.
