Historic Movie Theater In Souderton To Hold Grand Reopening
A ribbon cutting, open house, tours, and beers from Free Will Brewing will celebrate the reopening of the century-old icon.
SOUDERTON, PA — A pair of new businesses are celebrating their grand opening and reopening in Souderton this summer, including the restoration of the century old Broad Theater.
Originally opened in 1922 as a single-screen theater, Broad has been shut down for the last 17 years. The grand reopening will be held on Thursday, July 29, and will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, an open house, tours, and beers from Free Will Brewing Company.
The renovations have transformed the theater into a three-screen operation, which formally reopened to the public in Nov. 2020.
