Renovation Of Historic Reading Freight House in Lansdale Nears Completion
A major grant will help complete the final stage of construction on the new welcome center.
LANSDALE, PA — Rehabilitation of the Historic Reading Freight House in Lansdale will be completed thanks to a $250,000 grant from Montgomery County, officials announced recently.
Discover Lansdale purchased the property in 2016, saving it from demolition and preserving a vital piece of the region's industrial shipping history.
But the stone structure, built in 1902, required extensive work to realize the vision of the new owners.
