Homicide Investigation Launched After Body Found In Telford Apartment

TELFORD, PA — The body found in a Telford apartment on Sunday has been identified as a 23-year-old woman, and her death is being investigated as a homicide, authorities said on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to a 911 call to an apartment on the 100 block of Main Street on the morning of March 15.

The victim, Maria Topol, a resident of Telford, was found by officers when they entered the building.

Circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. The Bucks County Coroner's Office ruled the "manner of death" a homicide, but no further information was provided.

Police initially termed the death "suspicious" on Sunday, leading to widespread speculation over the past several days due to the lack of details made available.

"The investigation remains active and fluid," the Bucks County District Attorney's Office added.
