Investigation Launched Into Death Of Lansdale's Danny Torres

Police are trying to identify this man, captured on surveillance footage, as part of the investigation.

LANSDALE, PA — Authorities officially announced on Monday that an investigation has been launched into the death of Danny Torres, the Lansdale man and local barber who was found dead after he went missing weeks ago.

No information had been released by police in the immediate wake of Torres' death, which was confirmed by family members on May 10. Now, police are hoping the public can help identify a person of interest in the investigation.

The individual pictured below was captured on surveillance footage on April 29 as he crossed North Broad Street at 7th Street at around 6:33 p.m.

Torres left a friend's house on Sunday, April 29 between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., according to missing persons reports. He wrote on his Facebook page that he planned to return to work on Wednesday, May 2, but he never showed up, Pennsylvania State Police said.

His body was found on the 700 block of North Valley Forge Road on May 9, Lansdale police confirmed.

Torres opened "Danny's Barbershop" in Bridgeport in 2017, on 113 West 4th Street, and was a popular and widely loved member of the community. His Facebook page was flooded with messages of love and mourning from friends, family, and numerous beloved customers, with several calling him "the greatest barber ever."
