Lansdale Brewery Receives LCB Approval to Operate as Pub

Round Guys Brewery, located on Wood Street near Courtland Street in Lansdale, is awaiting its license from the county board of health in order to sell food

Round Guys Brewery is one step away from being a full-fledged pub and the new watering hole in Lansdale. And that's no monkey business.

Co-owner Scott Rudich announced on the Round Guys Facebook page that the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board gave them approval to operate as a pub.

But don't grab a cushy seat and pint glass just yet - they are still awaiting a license to sell food from the Montgomery County Board of Health.

"Once we have a pub permit, we can sell pints all the time. We can also sell wines made by Pennsylvania wineries," said Rudich.

"We are really excited to get our pub license, but we need to get the board of health approval first," said Rudich. "We have been through the initial stages and (co-owner) Rich (DiLiberto) is following up to address their questions."

In the meantime, Round Guys is allowed to sell growlers only to the public, as well as the seldom free sample. If you're not a beer aficionado, a growler is a 64-ounce jug, equivalent to four pints. Bottles are not yet available.

Rudich said he and DiLiberto have gotten to the point where they cannot do it all.

They need some help, of the part-time kind.

"Right now, it's for servers, bartenders and kitchen help. We need people that can do it all," Rudich said. "In a brewery, you need many skills and we are hoping to find a team of people that can pitch in anywhere."

They are looking for people to work mostly evenings and weekends. Rudich said the business plans a Thursday to Sunday schedule. Weekdays will be evenings only, Rudich said.

"We will not be a late night bar. As we get our feet under us, we will expand our hours," Rudich said.
