Lansdale Car Show To Feature Vintage Train Excursion

Lansdale's "Under the Lights" Car Show has something extra special this year: a ride on an early 20th century vintage train.

LANSDALE, PA — Lansdale's "Under the Lights" Car Show has something extra special this year: a ride on an early 20th century vintage train.

The New Hope Railroad will take passengers on the historic line between Lansdale and the former West Point Pike station, originally built for the North Pennsylvania Railroad.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 15.

Inside the train, guests can experience "mahogany interiors, open windows, and plush upholstered bench style seats that were part of the cars’ original construction between 1914 and 1922," according to organizers.

The excursion leaves from the Lansdale SEPTA station at two times: 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The ride will last about an hour.

The car show will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on W. Main Street.
