Lansdale Eighth Grader Wins Prestigious Neumann Scholarship

LANSDALE, PA -- A Lansdale student is the proud recipient of a prestigious award from a local foundation.

Aidan Moore, currently an eighth grader at Mater Dei School, was awarded the Connelly Foundation Neumann Scholar for the Lansdale Catholic Class of 2020.

“Mater Dei Principal, Miss Diane McCaughan, his teachers and family should be very proud,” Lansdale Catholic saidn in a Facebook post.

Lansdale Catholic will have a total of Neumann Scholars in the Class of 2020, the most among all seventeen Archdiocesan secondary schools, the school said.

Initiated in 1995, the Neumann scholarship program identifies academically talented eighth grade students through an independently administered competitive examination and provides four year scholarships to attend one of the Archdiocesan high schools.
