Lansdale HS Graduate, Longtime Local Employee, Passes Away At 90

LANSDALE, PA -- Pauline D. Caufield, 90, 0f Telford, passed away on September 19, 2016 at Saint Mary Manor in Lansdale, PA. She was the wife of the late Leo T. Caufield who passed away in 1987. Born October 27, 1925 in Worcester, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mattie (nee Trumbore) Detwiler.

She was a graduate of Lansdale High School, and had been employed for many years at the American Olean Tile Company in Lansdale prior to her retirement. Pauline was also a lifelong member of Wentz’s United Church of Christ in Lansdale, and in her spare time she enjoyed reading and needlepoint.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Dewald (John), of Telford, her granddaughter, Christine D. Piston (Dan), of Telford, her great-grandsons, Jackson Curtis Piston and Oliver James Piston, and her siblings, Vergene Detwiler and Donald Detwiler. She was also preceded in death by her son, the late Leo T. Caufield, Jr., and her brother, the late LaVerne Detwiler.

Funeral Services will be held privately by her family at a later date.
