The second incident occurred in Sellersville later in the evening on Oct. 7.

John Christian, 71, and his wife Christine Christian, of Spring Mill, were struck by a truck as they drove near the 700 block of Ridge Road, police said.

Fall presents unique and lethal dangers to drivers. In addition to creating slippery conditions, wet leaves can often cover traffic lines and other pavement markings. Intense sun glare can affect drivers’ vision during morning and afternoon rush hours. And deer proliferate in the fall, causing more accidents in Pennsylvania on average than almost any other state.
