Lansdale Man Arrested For Second Assault On Same Woman: Report

The mas drunk and "destroying property" throughout the day at the woman's house, reports state.

A Lansdale man who previously assaulted a woman he was in a relationship with was arrested Wednesday for assaulting her again, according to The Reporter.

Stephen J. Vanherwaarden, 46, of Walnut Street, allegedly entered the woman’s residence without her permission just before 8 p.m. on July 8, the report states.

Vanherwaarden was allegedly ”arguing and destroying property” while he assaulted her, the report states.

Vanderwaarden had been spotted destroying things at the home six hours earlier by police, according to the report.

He pushed the woman into a rack of bicycles outside when she tried to call police, the report states.

His blood alcohol concentration was .228 when tested at the police station, according to the report.

He’s charged with assault and trespassing, among other charges, the report states.
