Lansdale Man In Santa Hat Attempts Bank Robbery: Report
Bad Santa: "It's strange that God lets people rob banks. I always wanted to know what it was like to rob a bank."

HATFIELD, PA - A Lansdale man wearing a Santa hat was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly attempting to rob a bank, according to reports.
Kenneth Oberholtzer, of East Fourth Street, wore a dark green coat with his festive hat when he entered the Univest Bank on Bethlehem Pike at about 10 a.m. on December 22, reports state.
He handed the teller a note reading: “Take us to the safe, we will discuss the rest later,” according to The Times Herald. The note also urged the teller to be “descreat” (sic).

When the teller didn’t immediately comply, the man left the bank. He was arrested nearby soon thereafter when police received a description of him from the bank.
“It’s strange that God lets people rob banks,” Oberholtzer told police, according to The Times Herald. “I always wanted to know what it was like to rob a bank.”
