Lansdale Man Sentenced To Three To Six Years After Fleeing Scene Of Fatal Crash
Lansdale's Sean Sperl, 23, allegedly fled the scene after the crash and left one of his passengers to die.

The Lansdale man charged with drunk driving and leaving a passenger at the scene of a crash to die has been sentenced to prison.
Sean Sperl, 23, will spend the next three to six years in jail, according to a Times Herald report.
Sperl had originally been cleared of DUI homicide charges, according to a Philly.com report.

He was convicted in the crash, but was deemed innocent of the most serious charges, the report states.
Sperl, who was 21 at the time of the incident, allegedly fled the scene after the crash, leaving one of his passengers to die, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Sperl was traveling with two passengers at a high rate of speed along Ridge Road just after midnight on April 23 when he crashed into a utility pole, according the Pennsylvania State Police.
One of Sperl’s passengers, Ryan Alexander Petrille, 21, also of Lansdale, was pronounced dead after the crash, due to injuries to the head and neck after the crash.
