Lansdale Named 5th Best Place To Raise A Family In PA

LANSDALE, PA -- Another list is out, and it’s good news for the borough.

According to Nerd Wallet, a financial education site, Lansdale is the fifth best place in Pennsylvania to raise a family.

Jefferson Hills, a suburb of PIttsburgh, took home the top spot.

The site had the following to say about the borough:

Lansdale is a borough of Montgomery County about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia. A local high school, North Penn, has been recognized by Newsweek for having one of the best high schools in America. In particular, the school was distinguished for producing college-ready students: 95% of students graduate, and 89% go on to higher education.

Nerd Wallet accorded the ranking based on three main criteria: affordability, public school quality, and the growth and trajectory of the town.

It’s not the first time the area has received this kind of an accommodation from the wide world of online lists.

Last June, Montgomery Township was named among the top suburbs to buy a house in Pennsylvania.

Nearby, Chester County has also been named as one of the happiest places in America.
