Lansdale Named 5th Best Place To Raise A Family In PA

Local families can pat themselves on the back.

LANSDALE, PA -- Another list is out, and it’s good news for the borough.

According to Nerd Wallet, a financial education site, Lansdale is the fifth best place in Pennsylvania to raise a family.

Jefferson Hills, a suburb of PIttsburgh, took home the top spot.

The site had the following to say about the borough:

Lansdale is a borough of Montgomery County about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia. A local high school, North Penn, has been recognized by Newsweek for having one of the best high schools in America. In particular, the school was distinguished for producing college-ready students: 95% of students graduate, and 89% go on to higher education.

Nerd Wallet accorded the ranking based on three main criteria: affordability, public school quality, and the growth and trajectory of the town.
