Lansdale Names New Director Of Parks And Recreation
Karl Lukens has been named the new head of Parks and Recreation in Lansdale.

LANSDALE, PA — The borough of Lansdale has announced their new head of the Parks and Recreation department: veteran leader Karl Lukens.
Lukens was most recently the director of Parks and Rec over in Lower Providence Township, where he served for the past decade. While at Lower Providence, he oversaw the township's 12 parks and 106 acres of land, according to a borough statement introducing him.
“I look forward to getting out into the parks and meeting those people who utilize the park system as well as those who participate in the many programs offered by the department," Lukens said. "The Lansdale community has high expectations and I plan to work with the team to continue providing innovative programming and maintaining the serene parks you expect."

In a brief biography released by the borough, it was noted that Lukens graduated from Penn State and worked in both Abington and Northampton townships before getting the head job over in Lower Providence.
