Lansdale Native To Compete For Stanford At Penn Relays

LaSalle High School grad Tom Coyle is running the Championship of America 4xmile and the distance medley.

LaSalle High School grad and Lansdale native Tom Coyle will compete for Stanford University this weekend in two of the most highly anticipated races of the Penn Relays.

Coyle is entered on Stanford’s distance medley relay on Friday and their 4xmile on Saturday.

Standford is seeded sixth in the DMR and second in the 4xmile.

Coyle joined the ranks of the American elite this winter when he broke the illustrious 4 minute barrier in the mile, clocking a 3:59.32 in February.

Stanford’s distance relays, historically some of the best of nation, are favored to compete for the title in both events Coyle is running in.
