Lansdale Nonprofit To Donate 150,000 Menstrual Products Around The Region
The group is leading the fight against "period poverty." 70 percent of the women they work with have struggled with insufficient supplies.
LANSDALE, PA — A Lansdale-based nonprofit is working to fight "period poverty" and will donate more than 150,000 menstrual pads to agencies around the region, they announced.
Mitzvah Circle, an advocacy organization working with the homeless and disadvantaged, is putting together the event at their headquarters on 435 Doylestown Road.
It's set for March 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The pads will be distributed to 70 local partner agencies across the greater Philadelphia area.
Mitzvah Circle says more than 70 percent of the women and girls they work with have reported they needed to miss school or work because they lacked proper period supplies.

"What Mitzvah Circle distributes at this event will
keep families stable and participating in their daily lives," the organization said in a statement.
Mitzvah says they distributed 1.4 million period supplies to communities around southeastern Pennsylvania in 2025.
The March 31 event will also include several local and state officials, including State Rep. Melissa Cerrato, State Sen. Maria Collett, and Montgomery Township Supervisor Beth Staab.
