Lansdale PD Saying Goodbye To Old Building; Gives Final Tour To Children

Their long-time home is slated to be demolished in the coming months.

The Lansdale Police Department is moving to a new location soon, and they have begun saying some of their final goodbyes to the building that has been their home for decades.

On Thursday morning, officers conducted what they say could be the final tour of the old building.

It is slated to be demolished by July 1, police say.

“Detective Duffy and Officer Erbele conducted what was most likely the final tour of this old police station,” their Facebook page stated. “Thankfully, our final guests were very enthusiastic and they gave the old building a fitting farewell.”

As part of the tour children got to pose for their “mugshots,” holding up signs and grinning, pretending as if they were about to be locked up.
