Borough officials note the pledge is a way to show allyship and solidarity in an effort to make everyone feel welcomed.

LANSDALE, PA — As Pride Month continues, Lansdale officials are promoting a special "Pride Pledge" for residents to demonstrate allyship and solidarity.

The pledge aims to uphold rights guaranteed by the Lansdale Human Relations Ordinance, which protects rights to gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

"This pride month, show your allyship and take the pledge to be a positive agent of change in our community and help everyone feel welcomed, safe and respected," the borough shared in a statement.
