Lansdale Reportedly Considers New Trash Collection Method
The Lansdale Borough Council is considering alternative methods of trash collection.

LANSDALE, PA -- The Lansdale Borough Council is considering alternative methods of trash collection, according to a report.
The three options put forth at a recent meeting including contracting with a single collector, letting residents choose their own hauler, or getting the borough itself to collect the trash, the report states.
Some council members expressed support for the borough itself controlling the process, WPNV reports.

The ten trash haulers the borough currently contracts tear up the streets due to their large size, the report states.
The issue may head to a referendum question on the ballot in November.
