Lansdale Woman, 70, Loved Crocheting, Movies, Giving Time To Charity

LANSDALE, PA -- Theresa “Barbara” Turcotte, 70, passed away in her sleep January 2, 2017. She was the loving wife of Robert M. Turcotte whom she married May 25, 1968.
Born May 11, 1946, in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Slinsky) Wojtkowski.
Barbara most recently was of Lansdale, but spent most of her adult life living in Woodbridge, NJ, where she worked as a dental hygienist at Convery Dental Associates in Perth Amboy, for 50 years.

She was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, class of 1964, and attended Middlesex County Community College.
Some of her interests were crocheting, movies, spending time with friends, and trips to the casinos. Since moving to PA, Barbara enjoyed two crafting groups, “Girls Gone Crafty,” a social circle, and “Operation Warm Hugs,” a charitable group that makes lap blankets for people in nursing homes.
Above all else she will be remembered for treasured family time, a dedicated mother and grandmother who supported her family unconditionally with a special love for her granddaughter, Katherine.

Along with her husband, she is survived by two children, Lisa M. Turcotte, Ambler, and Kevin Turcotte (Andriana), Dresher; granddaughter, Katherine; aunt, Agnes Dubay, Sayreville, NJ, and many cousins.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by an uncle, Edward Wojtkowski, and aunt, Julia Stankowitz.
There will be a viewing in Lansdale, PA and Woodbridge, NJ.
On Friday, January 6, 2017, there will a viewing starting 4:00 p.m. at HUFF & LAKJER FUNERAL HOME, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, with the funeral at 7:00 p.m.
A second viewing will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at COSTELLO-GREINER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Special Children’s Committee, c/o Woodbridge Elks, 665 Rahway Ave., PO Box 1596, Woodbridge, NJ 07095, or North Penn Elks, 2737 Trewigtown Rd, Hatfield, PA 18915, with “Home Service” in the memo section.
