Lansdale Woman Assaulted Her Infant Son: Police
The child's injuries were consistent with that of a "shaken baby," medical staff determined.

A Lansdale woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of assaulting her six-month-old son, according to Lansdale Police Department Sgt. Alex Kromdyk.
Tykia Fitch, 35, allegedly called 911 on September 10, 2014 to tell authorities that her baby was unresponsive, police said.
The child was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in critical condition, according to police.

After the boy was examined, medical staff determined that the injuries were similar to that of a shaken baby, police said.
Children Youth Services placed the child in another household and Fitch was investigated, police said, leading to her arrest.

A preliminary hearing date has been set for July 7.
