Lansdale Woman Honored For 'Hometown Heroes' Banner Idea

A Lansdale woman was honored Wednesday for her work in bringing recognition to local service members.

LANSDALE, PA -- A Lansdale woman was recognized at Wednesday's borough council meeting for her unique contributions to the community: the Hometown Heroes banners displayed throughout the area.

Anne Henning-Scheuring's project involved putting the names and faces of local residents who have served in the armed forces on banners and displaying them throughout the downtown district. Residents who have served in the military dating back to the Civil War are honored on the banners.

On Wednesday, Borough Councilman Ray Liberto made a presentation commending the work done by Scheuring, handing her a black.
