Lansdale YMCA Book Event: Author Battles Cancer, Produces Horror Novel

The author describes the novel as a "horror metaphor" for his long battle with composite lymphoma, a rare form of cancer.

T. Fox Dunham is returning to the YMCA Lansdale He’s a lymphoma survivor, cancer patient, modern bard and historian.

He is creator and co-host of What Are You Afraid Of? Horror & Paranormal Podcast. Destroying the Tangible Illusion of Reality or Searching for Andy Kaufman, a book about what it’s like to be dying of cancer, was recently released from Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing.

Fox has been published hundreds of times in both journals and anthologies and has released several novels. The session is free and open to the community.

He will be reading from his new horror novel, Mercy, released by Blood Bound Books, which received the following four star review on Amazon:

Mercy is, quite actually, extremely beautifully written. I felt/saw a lot of the things that happened to William during his stay. I winced instinctively when he was attacked by the linear accelerator, felt repulsed when he encountered the deceased, and generally just wanted to smack the stubborn out of him.

"It is my horror metaphor for my long battle with composite lymphoma, a rare form of cancer I have fought off and on since I was 18," said Dunham. "I will be talking about my experiences with cancer and writing the book."

The event will take place on Monday, May 9 starting at 7 p.m..

The Lansdale YMCA is located on 608 E. Main Street.
