LANSDALE, PA — While the pandemic marked a dark and challenging time for much of the restaurant and hospitality industry, many establishments still found ways to innovate, adapt, and survive.

One such Montgomery County business was Lansdale's Boardroom Spirits, the popular and award-winning local distillery. And the establishment was honored this month by Philadelphia Magazine for just such an innovation: the "Best Post-Pandemic Trend." Namely, ready to drink, to-go cocktails.

Here's what Philly Mag had to say:

Lansdale’s Boardroom Spirits founder Marat Mamedov says he noticed the rise of malt-based seltzers, knew canned cocktails would be the next big trend, and started canning a Moscow Mule. Made with the distillery’s Brazilian-ginger-root-infused vodka, the effervescent drink is not too sweet and totally refreshing — a tough balance to strike in a can. “When you have a clean canvas to work with, which the vodka offers, you can let the other flavors shine through in a bigger manner without off-putting notes,” says Mamedov.

Even as bars, tasting rooms, taprooms, and restaurants reopen, Boardroom has continued its offerings. Its latest creation is a pair of seasonal drinks, Peach Cinnamon Sour and Passion Fruit Punch.

“Beyond coladas and mojitos, we wanted to create dynamic cocktails that really capture the flavors of summer by using unique ingredients and unexpected pairings,” Mike Podlogar, director of the RTD Cocktail Program for Boardroom Spirits. “But truly the best part about our ready-to-drink cocktails is that you get a delicious craft cocktail without having to make or buy any of your own syrups or juices. All you have to do is open it and enjoy."

Boardroom is located on 575 W. 3rd Street.
