Lansdale's First Friday Will Go On As Scheduled

LANSDALE, PA — While there is a small chance of rain, organizers are confident that the Lansdale First Friday event can go on as scheduled.

The event will begin at around 6 p.m. Several roads will be closed, including Susquehanna Ave., Green Street, S. Wood Street, and N. Wood Street.

According to Discover Lansdale organizers, the events will run as follows:

• BEER GARDEN: The beer garden will be located at the West Main Lot, at the intersection of Main and Susquehanna streets.
  
• LIVE MUSIC: Eclipse will be performing on South Wood Street, in front of Round Guys.
  
• B-BOYS/BREAKDANCING: Be prepared to see an incredible performance by some amazing dancers at 7:30 p.m. at Railroad Plaza. (Special thanks to Alex from the Sixers Dunk Team for lining this up!)
  
• FIRE BREATHING/JUGGLER: Douglas Stafford, of Bad Idea Entertainment, will be performing throughout the evening on the corner of Railroad Plaza, at Main and Madison streets.
  
• KID ZONE: We have a lot of kid's activities this month, so they will be split across two locations. At the intersection of Green and Main streets (including Century Plaza), there will be bungee trampolines, a bounce house, face painting and a fire truck, courtesy of the Fairmount Fire Company. On North Wood Street, there will be a bounce house, a balloon artist, and the return of the legendary mechanical bull, El Toro.
  
• CAR SHOW: The monthly car show will be located on Green Street, at the intersection with Main Street.
  
• DJ / PHOTO BOOTH: Dj Chris Evans, along with his photo booth, will be performing at Railroad Plaza (the Kugel ball), located at the intersection of Main and Madison streets (next to the train station).
  
• BUXMONT ROLLER DERBY DOLLS: The ladies on skates will be located along South Wood Street, at the intersection with Main Street (near the band).
  
• EL TORO: The savage mechanical bull will be place on North Wood Street, for any and all who are brave enough to attempt. (I tried to have it placed in the beer garden, but yeah, liability and stuff)
  
• FOOD TRUCKS: June First Friday sees the return of the Love Food Truck on South Wood Street, while the Milk+Sugar food truck makes it's debut inside the beer garden.
  
• CONTEST JUDGING: Contest judging will occur at Railroad Plaza at 8 p.m.
  
• AFTER DARK: The party will continue after the First Friday activities have ended! Round Guys will be offering $7 Lansdale Hurricanes from 9 p.m. to midnight, Boardroom Spirits will be offering $1 off of their Moscow Mules during the event, at both the distillery and the beer garden, and Montella's will be having an 80's party from 10 p.m. to close.
  
• PARKING: There is no designated area for parking, you may either park wherever a space is open, or you may park for free at the Septa parking garage at the train station on Main Street.
