Lansdale's Rebounderz Will Close For Good

LANSDALE, PA — The Rebounderz location in Lansdale will close for good after this weekend, the company has announed. Jan. 21 will be their last day of operation.

The local indoor trampoline center, popular with children and families, has been engaged in a public, lengthy contract dispute with Rebounderz corporate for over a year, though it just became public in early December.

The corporate team, which has control over the Lansdale Rebounderz website, posted that the location was closed for business on Dec. 18. The local owners, in turn, said on Facebook that the location was open.

Finally, on Thursday, the business made the announcement that they would close for good.

The nature of the contract disputes which spurred the bizarre public conflict remain unclear.

In a statement to Patch, a spokesperson for Rebounderz said that the local franchisee "was in severe violation of their franchise agreement" and that they had been instructed to close.

However, the local Rebounderz did not resolve the "severe" violation. The Lansdale franchise also did not elaborate on the alleged violation in their closing announcement.

"What a great community to open a business in," they wrote Thursday. "While Rebounderz has been open just shy of 4 years, we have welcomed over 350,000 jumpers, helped celebrate over 4,000 birthdays and sponsored / donated to over 1,000 events, sports teams, fundraisers and charities. My wife and I thank you for your support throughout this time. I would also like to thank the young men and woman who have worked with us at Rebounderz. For most of you it was your first job. We wish you continued success in your careers."

Rebounderz is located at 616 E. Main Street in the Hillcrest Shopping Center.
