Large Fire Breaks Out In Salford Twp.

SALFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A major fire broke out in Salford Township on Thursday, drawing a response from several area companies.

The blaze began at around 12:50 p.m. near the intersection of Beltz Road and Ridge Road.

Officials said the fire originated in a barn on a rural property.

The Tylersport Fire Company described it as a commercial building.

Dry weather, warm temperatures, and wind gusts have brought an elevated fire risk to the area, state officials said. March and April are typically the most dangerous wildfire months in Pennsylvania.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
