Today I am grateful for layers. I swear without a bunch of layers, John and I would have frozen to death this weekend. . . twice!
We took our grandson to his Lacrosse games on Saturday morning. It was early, windy and cold! I wasn’t prepared. Thankfully we bored gloves and blankets from our son. . .and sat in the car blasting the heat between games. At one point I sat on the bleachers behind a trash can, which protected me from the wind. A little.

Then the next day at o-dark-thirty, we had to be at the high school as volunteers for the MS Walk. This time we dressed with our own tundra gear, but man. . .that wind! It’s a great cause, but we were once again happy for our car heater.
At breakfast later, John said, “When I’m 80 can I stop doing this?” Two women sitting next to us, who had commented on our mustard yellow MS shirts, said, “No, you can’t!” I agree. I’ll just give him more layers!
