Longtime Lansdale Woman, Beloved Community Volunteer, Passes At 72
Gail M. Shaffer, 72, of Lansdale, volunteered with Trinity Lutheran Church, the Hospital Committee, and the Lansdale Public Library.

LANSDALE, PA — Gail M. Shaffer, 72, of Lansdale, died Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Bruce K. Shaffer, her husband of 49 years.
Born August 18, 1944 in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Mildred (Stanton) Golden.

Gail was a longtime, active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale, where she served on the Hospitality Committee and with the WELCA. She was also a dedicated volunteer with the Lansdale Public Library.
Gail was a fifty-year member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was Past Matron of the Order of the Amaranth, Lansdale. Earlier in life, she was active with her daughters’ Girl Scout troop and Home and School Organization.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Jennifer A. Willison (Stephen) of Lansdale, and Rebecca Shaffer Mannion (John) of Syracuse, NY; and six grandchildren, Abigail, Declan, Elias, Kian, Allyson, and Lochlan.
Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the church columbarium. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Gail’s memory to Lansdale Public Library, 301 Vine St., Lansdale, PA 19446.
