Lower Salford Ranked 49th Safest City in America

LOWER SALFORD, PA -- Good news! You're safer in Lower Salford than almost anywhere else in the entire country.

The township was ranked 49th in a recent analysis of communities around the nation.

The list was put together by SafeWise, an independent company that specializes in home security reviews, comparisons, and advice for consumers to make the best decisions on how to protect their home.

The site’s methodology and ranking system came from Uniform Crime Report data for the full year of 2014.

"In Lower Salford Township, you can get back to your Pennsylvania Dutch roots at the annual Apple Butter Frolic," SafeWise says in its writeup of the area. "You can also get here in a short drive from Philly and immediately feel the strong community ties that keep its residents working together. To keep up the positivity in the community, the local police department offers free security surveys of homes and businesses to protect against crime."
