Man Fled Scene Of Lansdale Crash That Hospitalized 2: Police
A teen was severely injured in the crash, and the suspect did not have a driver's license, authorities said.
LANSDALE, PA — A Lansdale man who fled the scene of a crash that severely injured a teenager did not have a license, authorities said.
Nazear Newton, 26, has been charged with an array of counts, including aggravated assault by vehicle, accidents involved death and injury, and more.
The incident occurred on Jan. 30 at the intersection of South Cannon Avenue and Delaware Avenue.

Newton was headed east on Delaware Avenue when he blew through a stop sign and slammed into a Subaru Outback headed north, police said.
The adult driver and teen passenger in the Subaru were both hurt, with the teen flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital for surgery. The adult was taken by VMSC Emergency Medical Services to Lansdale Hospital.

Newton fled but was captured nearby by Lansdale police a short time later.
Charges against Newton were filed on Feb. 4. He was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting a formal arraignment.
