Man Shot Inside Hatfield Home, No 'Active Threat': Police

The shot was fired from a wooded area into the home, authorities said.

HATFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A man was shot inside his Hatfield Township home Tuesday night, police said.

The incident occurred at around 8:10 p.m. on Forest Hills Drive.

The bullet was fired from outside the home, and evidence was later recovered from the wooded area between Forest Hills Drive and Moyer Road. Ballistic evidence was also found inside the home.

The victim was taken by the Volunteer Medical Service Corps to Lansdale Jefferson Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not life-threatening.

An investigation is underway, but "there is no active threat to the community at this time," Hatfield police said in a statement Wednesday morning.
