Homicide Suspect On The Run May Be In Montgomery Co.

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for the man wanted in a recent homicide case.

LANSDALE, PA — The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says a man wanted by Philadelphia Police for homicide may be in the Lansdale area.

The Sheriff's Office issued an alert Wednesday for most wanted criminal fugitive Michael Anthony Thompson, whose last known address was an apartment on the 1200 block of Welsh Road in North Wales. He may have also last resided on the 1600 block of West Butler Street in Philadelphia's Nicetown-Tioga section.

The alert was also posted to social media.

Thompson is being sought by Philadelphia authorities on charges of strangulation and unlawful restraint/serious bodily injury relating to a killing in the city, according to the fugitive alert.

The alert says that anyone with information about Thompson's whereabouts can fill out a confidential law enforcement tip form.

The website Philly's Most Wanted describes Thompson as a black male around 30 years of age and standing around 5 foot, 11 inches tall, with tattoos on both of his arms and on the left side of his neck. He is also shown in police photos to have long hair.
