Meadowood to Host Return of Regional Friendship Games

Approximately 250 competitors to showcase active aging and connection

Meadowood will host the 2026 Friendship Games, an Olympic-style competition that illustrates the importance of remaining physically active, mentally engaged and connected as Baby Boomers’ expectations shape the realities of today’s life plan communities. Approximately 250 registered competitors representing 12 regional life plan communities will participate in 10 events, including billiards, Wii bowling, croquet, golf putting, a relay walk and more.

The Games offer an impactful visual that shatters some myths about older living and how continued activity, challenge and community can support independence, longevity and the oft-discussed crisis of loneliness in today’s society across all ages. Meadowood wellness experts can discuss how the traditional idea of retirement is evolving and why physical, mental and social engagement remain important throughout life.

The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET at Meadowood, 3205 Skippack Pikk, Lansdale, Pa. 19446.
