When they arrived, Rossi refused to cooperate, becoming increasingly hostile and aggressive and eventually assaulting both of the officers on the scene, police said. Fortunately, officers only sustained minor injuries, and Rossi was quickly placed under arrest.

Rossi became the subject of Internet furor following widely publicized accusations that he cheated in multiple marathons, including the Lehigh Valley Marathon and the Boston Marathon. See here for more details.

Rossi most recently pleaded guilty in 2018 to harassment - subjecting another to physical contact. He was arrested in both 2016 and 2017 for assaults following Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw concerts, respectively.
