50+ Military Grave Markers Stolen From Lansdale Cemetery
Police are investigating the thefts, noting the markers have "strong sentimental meaning for the families of these fallen heroes."
LANSDALE, PA — Police are investigating after a large number of military grave markers were stolen from Lansdale Cemetery recently.
The thefts occurred between May 31 and July 11, the Lansdale Police Department said. A total of 56 markers are missing.
"The markers have little or no monetary value, however, they do hold a strong sentimental meaning for the families of these fallen heroes," police said in a statement.

Lansdale Mayor Garry Herbert said in a social media post that it's unclear if the thefts took place over multiple nights or a single evening. It's estimated that the cost of the missing markers is about $400.
Police said they currently have no suspects.
