Montco Community College Issues Statement After Supreme Court Rulings
A string of recent rulings on affirmative action, LGBTQIA rights, and student loan forgiveness has some in the school community on edge.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Montgomery County Community College has issued a letter to the school community in the wake of the recent string of decisions handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court which they said may make some individuals and groups feel left behind.
The school said that decisions on eliminating student loan forgiveness, striking down affirmative action, and LGBTQIA rights could cause unease.
"We recognize these actionsmay raise concerns about their potential cascading effects on individuals," school president Vicki Bastecki-Perez said in a statement, adding "Please be assured that Montco will continue to be a college that transforms lives, destinies, and future generations for all."

The letter went on to declare that Montco "remains for all."
