The Montgomery County Jazz Band is is playing two free concerts this weekend.
On Friday 12/11, the group will be at the Montgomery Mall in front of J.C. Penny’s lower level at 7pm. The show features Christmas tunes all jazzed up.
On Sunday 12/13, The band will play at the Indian Valley Middle School on Crest Road in Souderton at 3pm. For this show the group will be joined by the Souderton HS Jazz band led by Adam Tucker. After a set by each group, the two groups will join together for a third set into one really Big Band.

The Montgomery County Jazz Band is part of the Montgomery County Concert Band. It was formed in 2012 following conversations between Dave O’Neill and Steve Frederick and plays a mix of traditional and contemporary Jazz, Swing, and Funk in a Big Band set featuring Trumpets, Saxes, Trombones, and a rhythm section including drums, bass, keyboard, and guitar. Dave O’Neill leads the group as well as playing lead trumpet.
