Norristown Homeowners May Be Eligible For $20K In Repair Assistance
Need to repair a home in Norristown but low on cash? This program may be able to help.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Norristown residents with homes in need of repair – but who don’t have the funds to make it happen – may be able to find relief via an affordable housing program.
Eligible homeowners can receive up to $20,000 in repair assistance through the Community Grants, Planning and Housing (CGPH) program, which assists municipalities and counties to rehabilitate homes in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Approved use of the funds can include roofs and foundations, heating and electrical, windows, insulation and plumbing, according to the CGPH website.
Applicants should own a home in Norristownn and have a total gross annual household income that falls below these limits:

- 2 people - $67,200
- 3 people - $75,600
- 4 people - $84,000
- 5 people - $90,720
- 6 people - $97,440
- 7 people - $104,160
- 8 people - $110,880
According to the CGPH announcement, there is no cost to apply and applications will not affect credit scores. Funds are provided as a no-interest, 10-year forgivable loan. A professional inspector oversees the process, and there is no monthly payment.
Funding is also provided for rental properties (landlords should call the below number for terms).
