Montgomery Township K9 Gets Donation of Body Armor
Montgomery Township's K9 Odin will be outfitted with body armor thanks to a generous donation.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — The Montgomery Township Police Department’s K9 Odin will receive a special gift of body armor, thanks to a generous donation from a non-profit organization.
Vested Interested in K9s, Inc. donated the bullet and stab protective vest, which was sponsored by the Protecting K9 Heroes Fundraiser hosted by Staci Goveia of Lynwood, IL, police said.
The vest will be embroidered with the following: “In memory of K9 Jethro, Canton, OH - EOW 1/10/2016”.

Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks, police said.
Vested Interest is based in East Taunton, MA.

Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. provided over 1,900 protective vests, in 49 states, through private and corporate donations, at a cost of over 1.7 million dollars.
The donation to provide one protective vest for a law enforcement K9 is $1,050.00, police said.
