Montgomery Twp. Man, 78, Denies Sexually Assaulting Woman With Intellectual Disabilities: Report

The 78-year-old man said that he did not sexually assault a 34-year-old Montgomery Township woman with intellectual disabilities.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA -- A Montgomery Township man denied that he had sexually assaulted a woman with intellectual disabilities in her home in June of 2015, according to a report.

The Reporter states that 78-year-old Lawrence Sandler, had been accused of visiting the 34-year-old woman's home in the township on June 22, 2015.

Sandler reportedly knew the woman's mother and intentionally visited at a time when the mother would not be around.

The woman testified that Sandler told her to perform various sexual acts, the report states. Another related incident also occurred in 2011, the woman said.

Sandler faces charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, and related counts.
