Montgomery Township will be opening a massive new Community & Recreation Center on Monday, October 26th.

The Montgomery Township Community & Recreation Center (Mont CRC) offers a multi-use gymnasium with two full size basketball/volleyball courts, cardio/weight exercise room, three studios for spinning, Zumba, yoga, etc., suspended indoor walking/running track, outside ½ mile walking trail, catering kitchen and event rooms, child watch room, senior lounge, youth lounge, Spray Park and Accessible Playground, Montgomery County bookmobile parking, and building wide Wi-Fi.
Basic exercise classes are included with a paid membership. These classes include Zumba, Pilates, yoga, and more.

Non-member residents will receive certain amenities for free as residents of Montgomery Township. The inside amenities free to residents are the indoor walking/running track (during all operating hours), and gymnasium access and lounge access on Tuesdays and Thursdays from3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. All residents 17 years old and younger must be signed in by a resident adult and show proof Township residency.
The new Spray Park and Accessible Playground (for children ages 2-12) is free to all who visit the center. Both the Spray Park and Playground are comprised of innovative playground equipment for children of all abilities.
Rooms in the new facility can be rented for business meetings or special occasions.
The dividable Event Room offers the essential technology businesses rely on to host successful meetings, conferences, and gatherings.
Event Room A includes a large drop-down screen with ceiling mounted projector, professional custom lectern with integrated wired presentation ports and microphone, mechanically operated drop down blinds, free high speed internet, and wireless presenting from any mobile device.
Event Room B includes a large 82 inch interactive touchscreen TV, integrated camera and PC for video conferencing, free high speed internet, and wireless or wired presenting for any device.
Birthday parties can also be held at the new center. There are nine different birthday party packages to choose from with optional character add-ons.
Members will receive discounts on room rentals and birthday parties.
Members who join by October 31st will receive three months free. This means their membership won’t renew again until February 1st, 2017.

There will be a Dedication Ceremony for the Community & Recreation Center on Saturday, October 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will include an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting. Local officials will be in attendance as part of this special day.
Exercise demos and sports demos will be offered throughout the event to give guests the opportunity to try out any classes or programs they may be interested in.
The free celebration will also include a magician, face painter, balloon artist, moon bounces, games and prizes, food, DJ, and Mango Men performance (2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) Pumpkins will be available for guests to take home while supplies last.
Interested members currently have the chance to win a seven day Mont CRC pass or one free recreation program by tagging @MontTwp on Twitter and using #MontCRC to tell the Township what they’re looking forward to the most at the Community & Recreation Center. This will automatically enter the person in the drawing. The winner will be announced at the Dedication Ceremony event on Saturday, October 24th.
