Montgomeryville's Plato Closet Honors Jenna Burleigh With Display Wall

MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA — Jenna Burleigh touched people from all walks of life.

The late Temple University student made such an impact at Plato's Closet in Montgomeryville, her former place of employment, that they decided to dedicate a display wall inside the store to her.

"As a staff, and friends of Jenna, we have been thinking of how we could show our utmost respect for her loved ones and everyone that was blessed with the chance to be able to experience her heart of gold," Plato's Closet said in a recent Facebook post. "In conclusion, we have put together a display wall inspired by Jenna’s unique, bold, and unapologetic taste in fashion."

Proceeds on purchases from the display wall will go to support the Burleigh family in their time of need.

A GoFundMe memorial fund for the Burleigh family was launched this week. As of Friday morning, the fund had already met its goal of $10,000. A total of $10,260 had been raised.

According to her obituary, Burleigh was a dedicated advocate for social justice who was "unapologetically herself." She graduated from Souderton Area High School and Montgomery County Community College, and had recently begun studies at Temple University as a film and media arts major.

"I truly believe in the good in people and the magic that can be found in all of us," she wrote in Facebook. "I will always fight for what’s right. I will always fight for equality for ALL.”
