I-476 Reopens After Multiple Tractor Trailer Crash In Towamencin
I-476 was shut down for hours on Tuesday after a crash involving multiple tractor trailers and cars.

I-476 has reopened after being shut down for hours on Tuesday.
A major accident on the Northeast Extension in Towamencin early Tuesday morning shut down the road for several hours.

The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, 511 PA stated.
Multiple tractor-trailers and cars were involved in the crash.

I-476's Northbound lanes were closed between Lansdale and Quakertown, Exits 31 and 44.
A detour remained in effect at of 12:30 p.m. Motorists must exit at the Lansdale interchange and are rerouted to the Quakertown interchange.
It's not yet clear if there were any injuries in the crash.
