PENNSYLVANIA — If you've had trouble ordering wine and liquor since state stores reoepened in a limited capacity in Pennsylvania, there's some good news for you.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is opening up nearly 400 more stores for their curbside pickup program beginning next Monday, April 27.

The additional 389 stores is a massive increase from the 176 that had previously been open. There are now 565 of the state's 584 stores available for online order and curbside pickup.

“We acknowledge that Pennsylvanians are frustrated with busy signals and want broader access to wine and spirits, so after learning from our experiences this past week, we’ve made improvements to process orders faster, expand the hours we take orders by phone, and be more flexible in scheduling pickups, even the same day, if pickup appointments are available," Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Chairman Tim Holden said in a statement.

The first 50 to 100 orders placed each day will be accepted. Access to FineWineAndGoodSpirits.com will remain randomized in an effort to prevent high traffic from overwhelming the page, officials said. Only one order per address will be fulfilled per day.

Of the 19 state stores that remain closed to curbside pickup, three of them had been closed anyway for repairs. The remaining 16 are almost all in remote parts of the state and were only traditionally open for a few days a week, with one or two employees per store.

According to information from the state, curbside pickup orders will be limited to one order of no more than six bottles. Only one order will be accepted per caller, per store, per day.

Payment by credit card will be required by phone, and all curbside pickup sales are final.

The brick and mortar stores were closed back on March 17. The state added that they are not considering reopening the physical stores at this time.
