New Amazon Facility Opens Up In Towamencin

The new Towamencin delivery station will serve Amazon customers for more than 1100 square miles.

TOWAMENCIN, PA — A new Amazon operations facility and distribution center has opened up in Towamencin Township.

The new delivery station is located on Gehman Road in the township. It formally began operations on July 23.

The station serves as the final leg of regional package delivery, sorting packages and coordinating various driving routes, according to the township.

The new station will serve Amazon customers for more than 1100 square miles and covers 77 zip codes, ranging from Lehigh Valley area to Reading.

The company hired more than 300 employees for the location, in addition to about 150 drivers.
