New Changes Coming to Patch Home Page

Come 5 p.m., the home page of Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch will look a little different.

There will be a quick visual nip-and-tuck to the homepage to make it even more user-friendly. And we've moved a couple pieces of furniture. For those keeping score: 

• We tweaked some words in our navigation bar to save space: "Traffic" is now "Commute"; "Places" is now "Directory"; and "Gallery" will be "Pics and Clips." 
  
  
• We moved the weather icon next to the Patch branding so you can find it more quickly!
  
  
• We moved, well, YOU closer to the top! Remember that box with the word limit on the right side? Gone. The comments have switched places with our daily events. The "Shout Stream" as we call it is now front and center to show all your comments off.
  
  
• And of course we prettified a few things: What's green is now blue and we've cleaned up the Shout Stream.
  
  
• The "Upload Photos & Videos" button is gone. You can find a new link below our comment stream called "Post Pics & Clips."
  
  
• Want to start a new blog? Just click the "Start a Blog" link below the Shout Stream.
  
  
• Want to post an event? Just click the "Post Event" link below the Shout Stream 

While the site might look a little different later today, we still offer the same robust coverage of everything happening in Lansdale, Montgomeryville and beyond.

That was, is, and will always be our mission.
